Strategic Buyer<br>£38,000-£44,000 Depending On Experience <br>Benefits - Pension, Health Care, On-line discount scheme, etc <br>Duration – Permanent <br>Location – Bedford<br><br>An excellent opportunity exists for a Senior Strategic Buyer on a permanent basis to join a leading aerospace company. <br><br>The appointed Strategic Buyer will support the company’s buying and commercial activity through developing commodity strategies, careful supplier selection, performance monitoring, maintaining supplier agreements, Corporate liaison and accurate costing, Carrying out data gathering, analysis and summarisation duties relating to departmental supply chain goals, performance and forecasting.<br><br>The selected Strategic Buyer will need to carry out the following; <br><br>- Drafting and updating departmental / group procedures, adopting a flexible, continuous improvement approach at all times.<br>- Providing senior management with timely and accurate data analysis, summarisation and presentation on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis.<br>- Assisting in the maintenance of a minimal selection of suppliers with whom company can adopt a true “partnership sourcing” approach to minimise cost and increase profit throughout the supply chain.<br>- Monitoring and reporting supplier performance to compliment operational objectives on cost, quality, delivery and inventory. <br>- Liaising with Corporate supply chain to ensure that site scorecard metrics are reported in a timely manner. Representing the site at sourcing council calls/meetings as appropriate.<br>- Undertaking costing work in a timely manner with Sales, Engineering and Programme Management to ensure that company remains competitive in the marketplace.
