Intermediate Electrical Building Services Design Engineer
A vacancy has become available for an Intermediate Electrical Building Services Design Engineer to work within a multidiscipline environment based at our Rickmansworth Offices.
The successful candidate will be Degree Qualified and preferably a member of a recognised Institute such as IEE.
The level of experience required for this position means that the successful candidate is unlikely to have less than 5 years experience in the field of electrical design and will be well versed in working on highly serviced design and construction projects with minimal supervision from a Senior Engineer.
The successful candidate will be answerable to the Department Head and will be required to carry out all necessary design functions covering lighting layouts and calculations, cable sizing, containment routing, data and fire alarm systems and calculations using both manual methods and the Cymap suite of calculation software.
The successful candidate will have a good command of both spoken and written English and will be able to hold technical discussions with Clients and other design team members and produce clear and lucid technical reports and specifications.
The position will entail working on a range of projects throughout the UK including initial concept studies, site surveys, preliminary design and detailed design. The value of the projects will range from £100K to £25M and will comprise both refurbishment and new build projects.
As much of our work takes place within the Pharmaceutical Sector, experience in the design of Chemical or Biological Research Laboratories, Secondary Manufacturing Facilities such as Tableting Suites, Clean Room Design and other Healthcare related projects would be an advantage.
Experience of working in a multidiscipline environment will also be of benefit.
The position carries a competitive salary, 23 days Annual Leave, Private Medical Cover, Life Insurance, Profit Related Bonus Scheme and Contributory Pension Scheme.
