Role: Programme Manager

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000

Location: Bedford



A lead systems integrator and advanced technology company is looking for a Programme Manager to join the company’s Business Area to take responsibility for a number of projects involving the Company's manufacturing facility.



The candidate will lead a team of project managers and be responsible to the Business Area Manager for the delivery of the projects to agreed time, quality and cost requirements. He/she will be expected to have a broad engineering capability gained in a manufacturing environment together with a sound understanding of project management principles demonstrated by a successful track record in small to medium sized projects. A good understanding of risk and risk evaluation processes is also required together with an awareness of commercial and financial management.



Responsibilities for this role will include:



· Lead the development of bid strategies.

· Develop and negotiate teaming and sub-contract arrangements where necessary.

· Manage the preparation of the proposal documentation.

· Manage the preparation of estimates and the development of the pricing/commercial offer.

· Lead the presentation to Executive bid reviews.



For this role the successful applicant will require significant project management experience in a manufacturing environment. You will be competent in the use of MS-Office applications and MS Project. Formal Project Management accreditation would be desirable.
